“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” is finally arriving in physical formats on Tuesday Sept. 7, 2021 in the United States.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is releasing “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” on physical media, such as Blu-ray Disc, DVD and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the USA. The highly anticipated director’s cut of “Justice League” was already available overseas in the U.K., Australia, and other countries. The U.S. release will see the film available as a 4-disc 4K UHD Combo Pack, two-disc Blu-ray, and two-disc DVD collection.

The existence of the “Snyder Cut” is seen as something of a “miracle” in Hollywood. The leadership of a major Hollywood studio does not want to admit bad judgment, so the culmination of the almost-mythical “SnyderCut” manifesting into reality is hard to believe for many insiders who denied it would happen, with a studio executive reportedly even calling it a “pipe dream”. It has gone from being a “pipe dream” to now being delivered to homes and stocked on display shelves for purchase in stores.

The original director Zack Snyder had left the “Justice League” project during post-production following a family tragedy. The “Justice League” film that was released in theaters in 2017 was not the film that original director Zack Snyder intended to make. After years of persistent fan demand, Warner Bros. allowed Snyder to go back and reassemble his version of the film. Coming in at over 4 hours, the “Snyder Cut” is bigger in scope, twice as long as the theatrical version, and overwhelmingly seen as a well-crafted cinematic achievement, received positively by both fans and critics alike.

On Twitter, DC fans joined in to trend #SnyderCutHomecoming in celebration of the release of ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ on physical media, with some fans showing their personal copy.

Director Zack Snyder shared “SnyderCut” posters on Vero in the leadup to the Release Date. On September 1, Snyder captioned a post with excitement for fans being able to own his work: “In six days you get a chance to hold in your hands… this thing that is so much more than a movie. It’s an impossible miracle that all of you carefully willed into existence, a thing I happily tore out my heart to give you, and now it’s yours. #ZSJL”

Today, Snyder captioned the third “SnyderCut” poster with the Release Date as “Fly! #ZSJL”

Snyder had announced the September 7 release date back in June, 10 days after the anniversary of “Man Of Steel”.

Different formats of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” are in Amazon’s top-selling movies and TV list, with 4K Ultra HD at #1, Blu-Ray at #4, DVD at #15, and Blu-Ray Trilogy boxset at #40.

In “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”, “determined to ensure Superman’s ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne aligns forces with Diana Prince with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.” (Official Synopsis from Warner Bros.)
