Twitter and their “shadow ban”

Throughout its fictional history the Daily Planet has faced its share of troubled times. Metropolis’ premier newspaper has faced destruction at the hands of numerous villains like Lex Luthor, Doomsday and Intergang. The publication has braved violent worker strikes, the death of Superman and its total destruction during the fall of Metropolis. Yet none of these threats silenced the paper of steel like Twitter has.

As a new generation flourishes, it seems as if this age group wants to break with important aspects attributed to past generations, such as moral values.

Trump doesn’t get off “Scott Free”

On Monday Dec. 2, President Trump took to Twitter storming about his hopes for a long prison sentence toward former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen struck a plea deal with special council Robert Mueller. Cohen admitted he lied to Congress regarding a Trump Tower Moscow project. Trump blighted Cohen’s admission, accusing him of doing “TERRIBLE” things. Trump also stated Cohen should serve a full prison sentence.

Not all heroes wear capes

On Monday, Nov. 12 comic book icon Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95. Over his lifetime Lee had created or co-created hundreds of iconic characters inspiring generations.  Lee frequented events and comic conventions where he loved interacting with fans. After his passing fans recalled their favorite memories with the artist. The following is one of those stories.

Last Tuesday, Nov. 6, millions of Americans took to the polls exercising their right to vote in this years midterm election. According to Time, an estimated 113 million Americans voted this election season making 2018 a record year for voter turnout.

Stan Lee remembered

On Monday, Nov. 12 the world collectively mourned as comic book legend Stan Lee’s death pulsed through their social media feeds. Lee was taken by ambulance from his California home to Cedar’s Sinai Medical Center Monday morning where he later died, a CNN article reports. Lee was 95.
