Lisa Marie Presley, singer-songwriter and only child to music icon Elvis Presley passed away on Thursday evening, her mother confirmed. She was 54 years old.
Both her hospitalization and her death came as a shock to the world, as on Tuesday Lisa Marie attended the Golden Globes alongside her mother, Priscilla Presley and Austin Butler who recently played her father in Bazz Luhrmann’s “Elvis”.

TMZ first broke the news of Lisa Marie being rushed to the hospital on Thursday, which her mother later confirmed in a post to her personal Instagram.
Only hours passed before another statement was made, this time by a representative of Priscilla, announcing the passing of Lisa Marie. “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie”, the statement reads. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
Born Feb. 1, 1968 to Elvis Presley and his wife Priscilla, Lisa Marie was no stranger to loss, love and success, much like her father. Following in his footsteps, Presley left her own footprint on the music industry. She released three albums from 2003 to 2012. In 2018, Lisa Marie sang a reimagined duet with her late father on “Where No One Stands Alone.”
Lisa Marie is remembered by her three children Riley Keough, Finley Lockwood and Harper Lockwood, as well as her mother. Presley’s oldest son, Benjamin Keough, passed away from suicide in July of 2020.
Lisa Marie Presley will be laid to rest in Graceland, TN, next to her son, along with her father, Elvis Presley.
