The journey continues for Ash Ketchum and his Pikachu.
Mark you calendars for Sept. 11, 2020. Part two of Pokémon Journeys will be released on Netflix in the United States. What does that mean? Netflix will be doubling the content with 12 additional episodes.
It was 1997 when Pokémon made its debut. Since then, the franchise has launched 23 seasons of its animated series. In addition to the 23 seasons, The franchise has also graced us with ever-growing movies as well. Each new season of Pokémon contained elements from its latest generation of the Pokémon games series. Pokémon is currently in its 8th generation, the Sword and Shield saga. Netflix is the current home of new Pokémon content.
Part one, which consisted of the first 12 episodes of the series, debuted in June 2020. After conquering the Alola Pokemon League during the Sun and Moon series, Pokémon Protagonist, Ash Ketchum returns home to Kanto and has now become a research assistant at the Cerise Laboratory in Vermillion City, while making friends with a new character, Goh.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pokémon, along with many animated shows, was forced into hiatus from April 19 to June 7. The series has recently resumed production in Japan.
Part two of ‘Pokémon Journeys: The Series’ will consist of another 12 episodes.
