The outgoing vice president will attend president-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, according to a report from the Washington Post that was later confirmed by other outlets. Meanwhile, the New York Times is among those saying that Pence and President Trump have not spoken since Wednesday morning.

Capitol Rioter wearing horns and fur arrested

Federal authorities took Jacob Anthony Chansley, also known as Jake Angeli, of Arizona, into custody on Saturday and have charged him with “knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds,” according to the Justice Department.

Trump pressures Ga. secretary of state, urges him to ‘find’ votes

In a recorded hour-long phone call, President Trump told Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that he wanted to “find 11,780 votes” in his favor to overturn Joe Biden’s win in the state. The Washington Post also reported that Trump appeared to threaten Raffensperger, saying that his refusal to comply with Trump’s demands would be “a big risk.”

“What we witness is a pendulum: a swing to the left and a swing to the right. I think in the immediate future we are going to be swinging left,” said Greg Brown (66). The teacher and politico, as he appropriately calls himself, had just finished up with his classes for the day. He was now answering my questions on where exactly this country is headed, a feat too great for the voter data on Census.gov.
