The Daily Planet is introducing Hope, a new section dedicated to free public announcements celebrating life’s milestones.

Modeled after the classic newspaper announcements pages that once served as a community bulletin board for major life events, Hope will give people a space to share births, engagements, weddings, graduations and other personal achievements at no cost.

The section follows the same free-publication model already established by the Daily Planet’s Memorials section, which offers complimentary obituary publication to the community. Newspapers used to be where communities came together to celebrate each other. Hope brings that tradition back.

Those interested in submitting an announcement can fill out a form at dailyplanetdc.com/hope. Submissions will be reviewed by Daily Planet editorial staff before publication.

The Hope section joins the Daily Planet’s growing roster of community-focused offerings, which includes its Memorials section and contributor-driven content across News, Culture and Entertainment. Both sections reflect the publication’s broader mission of keeping the planet connected through shared milestones, both joyful and somber.

The Daily Planet plans to publish Hope announcements on a rolling basis as submissions are verified and approved. You can fill out a form at dailyplanetdc.com/hope.
