EDINA — Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 through 5 a.m. Monday, Jan.9, westbound Hwy 62 between France Avenue and Hwy 100 will be closed.

“This closure is necessary so crews can erect the span for the new pedestrian bridge over Hwy 62,” said the Minnesota Department of Transportation in a released statement. “Motorists traveling westbound on Hwy 62 can use southbound I-35W to westbound I-494 to northbound Hwy 100 as a detour.”

Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow extra time to reach their destination. All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change.
