BPD debuts new online tool for nonemergency crime reporting

1 min read

BLOOMINGTON — The Bloomington Police Department (BPD) recently designed Citizen Reporting, a simple way to report certain nonemergency crimes that occur in Bloomington online.

“There are so many benefits to being able to report certain nonemergency crimes online,” Bloomington Police Information Assistant Monica Williams said. “Residents can file a report without having to wait in the lobby. This program also allows residents to print a copy of their police report at the time of the filing, which can be a time saver. It also frees up officers to focus on other crimes and proactive policing.”

Visit blm.mn/citizenreport to see the new system or report a nonemergency crime. For more information, visit blm.mn/bpd or call 952-563-4900.
