NATO launches process to ratify Sweden and Finland as members

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) launched on Tuesday the ratification process for Sweden and Finland’s membership, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed.

After submitting their official applications in May, both countries signed the accession protocol, which was signed off by the 30 existing NATO members.
