HBO Max has released a new teaser for the Doom Patrol after what has been almost a year since the end of the second season, which was forced to end on a cliffhanger due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But fear not, the new teaser clears not all but some of the questions the fans had by the end of the second season, and it looks like season 3 of “Doom Patrol” may be the craziest season yet, if we go by the trailer.
Doom Patrol will see the return Robotman / Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), Negative Man / Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), Elasti-Woman / Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero) and Cyborg / Victor Stone (Joivan Wade), all led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder / The Chief (Timothy Dalton) and his daughter Dorothy (Abi Monterey) including the addition of Madame Rouge played by Michelle Gomez and characters such as Brain, along with his Loyal servant and in time romantic partner “Monsieur Mallah.” The show’s version of the Brotherhood of Dada will be featured as well as the Dead Boy Detective Agency.
Season Three opens on the culmination of Dorothy’s (Abi Monterey) confrontation with the Candlemaker that leads to a devastating loss. The Doom Patrol is at a difficult crossroads and each member struggles to face who they are and who they want to be. And things get a whole lot more complicated when Madame Rouge (Michelle Gomez) arrives in a time machine with a very specific mission, if only she could remember it.
Fans can catch the latest season of the Doom Patrol when it premieres on HBO Max on Sept. 23, 2021.
