Today Director Zack Snyder took to social media and released a new teaser for the upcoming Netflix original, “Army of The Dead.” The trailer promises a lot of action, similar to the Snyder Cut trailer reveal Zack teased fans with a few images from the movie acting as a countdown for the release of a teaser.
“Army of the Dead” would be the first non DC project since 2013’s “Man of Steel” the director would be helming.
“It is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it’s genre-on-genre in a great way, So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent,” Zack Snyder told Entertainment Weekly.”But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It’s going to surprise people that there’s a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters.”
This movie is similar to his directorial debut “Dawn of the Dead,” which was also a zombie movie, so it’s a return to familiar territory for the director. Snyder used the opportunity to turn the movie into a full blown franchise with a prequel already in the works slated for a 2022 release and an animated show called “Army of the Dead:Lost Vegas”.
“Army of the Dead” is directed by Zack Snyder with a screenplay by Snyder, Shay Hatten and Joby Harold and viewers get to watch the movie globally starting May 21 on Netflix.
