All of Brooks spoiler free thoughts on the first two episodes of WandaVision. It’s a big swing for the MCU, does it hit or miss?
For the first time, Marvel Studios is creating longform epic series and they’re landing exclusively on Disney+. The start of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins now with Marvel Studios’ WandaVision!
“WandaVision fits inside of the large MCU in that these are characters we’re familiar with and we love, but we’re seeing them in a totally new environment and a new light,” Jac Schaeffer, the head writer and executive producer of WandaVision, explains in a new behind-the-scenes featurette.
This new environment and light for both Wanda Maximoff and Vision is the classic age of television sitcoms, as the first episodes is entirely in black and white and was shot in front of a live studio audience — an experience Paul Bettany called “nerve wracking,” but also rewarding.
But, while it might look and feel like a fun trip down television memory lane, this is the MCU and all is not what it seems.
