Love Island honors Caroline Flack

1 min read

Love Island returned Monday with a tribute to former host Caroline Flack, who was found dead in her East London flat over the weekend.

According to Flack’s family attorney, the 40-year-old took her own life.

Flack resigned from her Love Island hosting duties after being charged with assault following an altercation with her boyfriend in December, 2019.

“We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time,” the attorney asked.

The Caroline Flack tribute aired during Monday’s episode of Love Island after the series took a brief sabbatical this past Saturday out of respect for Flack.

Love Island narrator Iain Stirling shared the heartfelt tribute to Flack at the start of Monday night’s episode saying he and the Love Island team were “absolutely devastated by the tragic news.”

“Caroline and me were together from the very start of Love Island and her passion, warmth and infectious enthusiasm were a crucial part of what made the show connect with millions of viewers,” Stirling said.
