Thursday, Mayor Jacob Frey’s government structure omnibus ordinance passed through City Council. This is the first time in over 100 years that the City of Minneapolis has been successful in changing its government structure. The new structure includes four direct reports to the mayor, an integrated Office of Community Safety, and elevates Race Equity, Inclusion & Belonging to a department level – among other changes.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, Saint Paul Public Works will begin its annual fall residential street sweeping operations. City crews will sweep approximately 530 miles of residential streets throughout the City. Weather permitting, the street sweeping operation is expected to take approximately four to six weeks.
