Breaking news from a galaxy far, far away…

As previously announced, Star Wars Celebration will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, between April 18–20, 2025, marking the first “Star Wars” Celebration held in the country since 2008.

Fans of all ages — and from all over the world — are invited to come together and immerse themselves in the cultural phenomenon that is “Star Wars.”

Today, Lucasfilm Ltd. and ReedPop debuted the key art for “Star Wars” Celebration Japan on StarWars.com. Inspired by the traditional Japanese ink painting style known as sumi-e, the 2025 key art features the looming presence of Darth Vader accompanied by beautiful cherry blossoms and sweeping ink strokes. X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Imperial AT-ATs are featured prominently in the foreground, while the Rising Sun—Mount Fuji contained within—completes the spectacular piece.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday, May 2, at 7 PM EST (U.S. Time) and Friday, May 3, at 8 AM JST (Japan Time), with travel packages available for non-local fans who are planning to attend. Star Wars Celebration revels in the excitement of new films, television series, books, art, and comics, while also commemorating the vast history of the ever-expanding “Star Wars” galaxy. It encompasses three full days that include major announcements, immersive exhibits, an interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, costumes, and more Star Wars surprises.
