An interview with Writer & Producer Brian Bird

1 min read

I had the opportunity to sit down with “When Calls The Heart” co-creator, Brian Bird, to discuss season 10 of the hit Hallmark series and a look ahead to season 11. In this Daily Planet exclusive, Brian answers your questions.

Editor’s note as of Oct. 26, 2023: The video was experiencing technical difficulties and was offline for the original date of publication. We are an independent organization run strictly by volunteers, so we appreciate your patience.

Jimmy Reno

Jimmy Reno has always had a passion for the creative arts. Singing and writing have been at the forefront of his career. A professional Christian country singer and songwriter, he discovered his love for writing and journalism later on. Working as a freelance journalist in addition to his music, he contributes to the Daily Planet. An avid, life-long Superman fan, discovering the Daily Planet and contributing to it, was a dream come true.

  1. That was almost insulting for Brian Bird to say they didn’t bring back the triangle. Tell that to the Nathan fans on the Hearties official website who are absolutely gloating and the Lucabeth fans who are heartbroken. It most definitely was a triangle brewing in S10 and he must know that!! Otherwise why did they do it?

  2. Please, please, please do not break up Elizabeth and Lucas..That will destroy the entire series. They belong together like 2 peas in a pod. Nathan does not have the charisma that Lucas has. They belong together. He is terrific with Jack and Elizabeth. PLEASE DON’T!!!!!!!!!

    • Bringing Lucas into the show in the first place is what has been destroying the series. Remember, he was on the run from a loan shark – nice upstanding moral character – oh and he’s a gambler – on and he owns a saloon….
