Twins recall Bailey Ober

1 min read

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Bailey Ober from Triple-A St. Paul.

Ober has made four starts for the Saints this season, going 2-1 with a 2.55 ERA (17.2 IP, 5 ER), six walks, 22 strikeouts and a .197 (13-for-66) opponent batting average. He has pitched 11.0-straight scoreless innings over his last two starts with the Saints and was named Twins minor league Pitcher of the Week earlier today.

To make room for Ober on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson to Triple-A St. Paul. Woods Richardson was recalled from the Saints on Friday and appeared in relief yesterday afternoon vs. Washington, allowing five runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings pitched, with three walks and five strikeouts, throwing 97 pitches.

Ober is scheduled to start this afternoon’s game against the Washington Nationals at Target Field.
