Minneapolis declares one-day Snow Emergency

Minneapolis officials have declared a one-day Snow Emergency beginning at 9 p.m. today, Feb. 24 so plows can clear the streets and emergency vehicles and other cars can then get around and park. 

One-day Snow Emergency parking rules

  • Through 8 p.m today, Feb. 24 (Day 3)
    Day 3 parking rules of the existing snow emergency are still in effect until 8 p.m. Do not park on the odd side of streets that are not snow emergency routes.
  • 9 p.m. today, Feb. 24 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 (Day 1)
    Do not park on either side of a Snow Emergency route until 8 a.m., or the street is fully plowed.
  • 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25
    Winter Parking Restrictions resume. Do not park on the EVEN numbered side of non-Snow Emergency routes.

The Minneapolis Impound Lot will be open through tonight and then return to regular operating hours tomorrow. The impound lot will be open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. tomorrow and then 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
