In the latest episode of their “Smallville” rewatch podcast co-stars Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling revisit the tenth season one episode, “Shimmer.”
The two revisit their favorite and least favorite locations to shoot, that “risqué” bathtub scene and the beginning of “Smallville’s” concussions — which later became a frequent convenient reoccurrence to protect Clark’s secret.
They also share what they loved about working with then guest star Kelly Brook. The dynamic duo of Smallville also discussed figuring out invisible special effects this early on in the series.
Tom and Michael also revisit stalker stories, which was originally brought up in one of their earlier podcast shows when Kristin Kreuk guested.
This week Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum explore if all in Shimmer is gold, as they revisit Episode #10 of Smallville! While the scores at the end might not reflect it, the guys fondly remember shooting scenes with Kelly Brook as Victoria Hardwick and talk about their favorite and least favorite locations to shoot at, as the iconic ‘barn sunset’ makes several appearances. Michael talks about working again with former co star Azura Skye and similarities in this week’s storyline to his real life. Tom talks about how you could see them still ‘figuring it out’ with the invisibility special effects this early on in the series and how we start to see the rise of convenient concussions in the show. Let us know what you’d rate this one!
