Actors Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling discuss “Smallville’s” season one episode “Cool” in the latest episode of their new podcast, “Talk Ville,” with a special guest appearance from the great Kristin Kreuk.

Rosenbaum and Welling explore the episode’s horror movie tropes, comment on the special effects used in the 2001 episode and Lex’s introduction to purple clothing. Welling also discusses his admiration for the portrayal of “Freezer Boy” by Michael Coristine.

“After we pull the curtain back and deep dive all the ‘Freezer Boy’ scenes, teenage horror tropes, and purple sweaters inside Episode 5: Cool, we’re joined by future returning guest, Lana Lang herself, Kristin Kreuk. Kristin remembers her time on the show, how Tom couldn’t remember his lines in one particular scene in Cool, and dealing with her stalker in the early seasons. Good times in this episode as we explore some of the Cool special effects and crack a new low on our rating system.”
