Saint Paul Police announces arrest in Sept. 4 triple homicide

The Saint Paul Police Department announces that an arrest has been made in connection to the Sept. 4 shooting that left three dead, and two injured in Saint Paul's Payne-Phalen neighborhood.

On the morning of Sept. 7, Antonio Wright, a 41-year-old male from Minneapolis, was arrested in Chicago, Illinois.

The arrest was made in collaboration of the Saint Paul Police Department with the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force in Minneapolis/Saint Paul and Chicago, and in partnership with the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office.

The case is still under investigation, further details cannot be released at this time. As the investigation continues to develop more information will be shared.

“I applaud our Saint Paul officers’ diligent pursuit of those responsible for the nightmare we endured this weekend,” said Mayor Carter. “Thanks to their swift work, we can begin to heal and move forward.”

“We know this arrest does not erase tragedy,” said Saint Paul Assistant Police Chief Stacy Murphy. “However, it allows us to start the slow healing process together.”
