Ukraine president orders military mobilization amid Russian attack

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said 137 people have been killed after Russia launched a full-scale invasion in Ukraine, in a video message late Thursday.

Zelenskyy signed a decree on Thursday that orders the broad-based mobilization of all conscripts and reservists to face Russian troops.

Ukraine has banned male citizens 18-60 years of age from leaving the country, according to the State Border Guard Service.

US President Joe Biden announced a new set of sanctions and limitations on exports to Russia that 27 EU members and G7 members will also participate in similar repercussions.

Zelenskyy has cut diplomatic ties with Russia and has declared martial law. NATO’s secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, announced a virtual summit for Friday.
