Mayor Frey, MPD leadership discuss response to violent crime

Mayor Jacob Frey and Deputy Police Chief Amelia Huffman brought together Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) leadership and community partners Dec. 16 to discuss the City’s response to violent crime.

Frey and Huffman highlighted results at a municipal level and the need for ongoing support from multi-jurisdictional partners. Law enforcement leaders and community partners also emphasized the importance of investing in recruitment efforts.
