On July 8 2021, Marvel Studios officially debuted a new trailer and poster for “What If…” The Disney+ original series directed by Bryan Andrews is slated for release Aug. 11, 2021.
Marvel Studios “What If…? flips the script on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Coming to Disney+ in summer 2021, Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles. The series is directed by Bryan Andrews; Ashley Bradley is head writer.
The series will not feature the following MCU actors. According to a report from Variety Robert Downey Jr(Iron Man) Brie Larson(Captain Marvel) Chris Evans, (Captain America) Benicio Del Toro (The Collector), and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange). As of this article being written no confirmation has been made about who will portray the roles of the characters in mention.

The series will also mark the final appearance of T’Challa by Chadwick Boseman who posthumously portrayed Black Panther in the MCU till his passing in August 2020.
