New trailer for ‘Mortal Kombat’ released

On the morning of Feb 18, 2021 Warner Brothers released a new trailer for the upcoming movie “Mortal Kombat.” The trailer promises us everything Mortal Kombat fans wanted and have been waiting for.

From its unapologetic nature in terms of violence,and with this upcoming movie seems to have great action set pieces. The trailer also had a lot of surprises up its sleeve for hardcore Mortal Kombat fans with its character reveals.

In addition, fans got to see a lot the favourite Mortal Kombat characters like Liu Kang (Ludi Lin),Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Jax Briggs (Mehcad Brooks), Kano (Josh Lawson), Shang Tsung (Chin Han), Kung Lao (Max Huang), Mileena (Sisi Stringer), Nitara (Elissa Cadwell) and Kabal (Daniel Nelson).

The trailer was positively received and the one of the producers had responded to the reaction.

The movie was first announced in August 2015 with James Wan, director of the two Conjuring movies and “Aquaman,” set to produce the film,with Simon McQuoid as Director and David Callaham as the screenwriter

Principal photography began in September and wrapped up in December 2019.This new movie should not be mistaken to be the sequel for the preceding Mortal Kombat movies “Mortal Kombat” (1995) and “Mortal Kombat: Annihilation” (1997). This new adventure is going to be its own thing.

The movie is currently going to release on April 16, 2021 simultaneously on HBO max and in theaters.
