President-elect Hoe Biden selects Jaime Harrison of South Carolina to lead the Democratic National Committee

President-elect Joe Biden tapped Jaime Harrison to be the next head of the DNC, according to multiple reports on Thursday. Harrison ran for the US Senate in South Carolina against Lindsey Graham in November.

He raised $130 million and came closer to defeating incumbent Graham than many thought possible. Harrison will replace outgoing DNC chair Tom Perez.
