Fans of Director Zack Snyder are rallying together to get #RestoreTheSnyderVerse trending on social media. The action follows after the New York Times published an interview where DC Films President, Walter Hamada, stated the directors cut of “Justice League” is a stand alone cul-du-sac with no connection to any upcoming projects.
Hamada became president of DC Films in 2018, after “Justice League” first debuted in theaters to mixed reviews and low box office returns.
Zack Snyder’s cut of the film will be released in a miniseries styled format on HBO Max come March 2021. After the theatrical version of the film produced mixed critical reviews, fans demanded that Zack’s cut be released. Snyder, and many actors and producers associated with the film, worked diligently to get it released.
Snyder has stated that his version of “Justice League” will not be set in the same continuity as Whedon’s version. Aquaman star Jason Momoa said that Director James Wan’s “Aquaman” takes place immediately after Zack Snyder’s “Justice League,” rather than Whedon’s version and “Wonder Woman 1984” Director Patty Jenkins said that no DC director considers Whedon’s “Justice League” canonical, and that she had worked with Snyder to ensure “Wonder Woman” maintained continuity with his film. All contradictory statements to Hamada’s.

Zack Snyder’s five-film plan included Man Of Steel, Batman v Superman, Justice League, and the following sequels Justice League II and III. The ‘SnyderVerse’ also includes David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, of which fans demand a director’s cut edition, Ben Affleck’s Batman versus Deathstroke story, and Man Of Steel sequels. Other DC Films were tied to the universe as well.
