566 cases of COVID-19 confirmed at Alabama University

The University of Alabama has reported over 566 new cases of the coronavirus since classes resumed.

The Tuscaloosa campus resumed classes last week and the number of confirmed cases include students, faculty and staff members.

The University of Alabama System launched a COVID-19 dashboard yesterday reporting that data for all three campuses across the state will be updated weekly with testing. Current data includes students.

The city of Tuscaloosa has closed bars and suspended service at restaurants for two weeks.
