A new hope rises: ‘Marvel’s Avengers’ game review

by Brendan Rooney
December 10, 2020

After months of rebalancing and necessary patches, I finally revisited the “Avengers” game and came to the conclusion that it seems that this is going to be a title that will age like fine wine. Of course many will gripe and ask “how did you come to this conclusion when the base vanilla product was just ‘unplayable?’”

by Brendan Rooney
December 4, 2020

Many are left to wonder if it will flop like the 1993 Super Mario Bro’s movie or will it rekindle the nostalgia of our gaming childhood just like Sonic did this past year? Of course, though it always comes down to the casting of such iconic characters, and it seems like the days of the troubled past are officially behind us. Deadline just confirmed that the Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ (Kong: Skull Island) Metal Gear Solid movie is finally gaining some momentum with the casting of Oscar Isaac (Star Wars:

Insomniac’s leap of faith: A Miles Morales PS4 review

by Brendan Rooney
November 18, 2020

I remember when Spider-Man PS4 was released by Insomniac back in 2018. The consensus by fans was that the game was one of the best Spider-Man experiences ever put to screen. Due to the new, fresh take on the wall-crawler and how it reignited why Spider-Man truly is one of the best fictional characters in all of media. All it takes is one bad day: A deep dive into the mindset of ‘The Joker’

by Brendan Rooney
August 27, 2020

Remember a few years ago when ‘Batman’ sat in the Mobius chair during the events of the ‘Darkseid war’ comic event? It was an interesting choice nonetheless. The sequence of the narrative took our stoic, yet mortal hero, Batman and gave him a key to the conundrum he could never solve.
