Warner Bros. released “Supergirl” on digital platforms this week, and the accompanying bonus features have given fans a fresh look at the camaraderie between stars Milly Alcock and David Corenswet on set.

The new material, which surfaced online, shows Alcock and Corenswet having fun together while staying in costume between scenes.

The footage builds on a string of behind-the-scenes glimpses James Gunn and the studio have shared throughout production, dating back to the film’s start in early 2025. Gunn has previously described Alcock’s version of Supergirl as tougher and more damaged than past depictions, given her character’s history of watching Krypton’s destruction before arriving on Earth.

“Supergirl” opened in theaters worldwide on June 26 as the second film in the DC Universe’s “Gods and Monsters” chapter, following July 2025’s “Superman” reboot. The film has drawn a mixed critical response, holding a 53% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes against a stronger 73% audience score, and has grossed more than $124 million worldwide to date.

Alcock, best known for her breakout role as young Rhaenyra Targaryen on HBO’s “House of the Dragon,” first appeared as Supergirl in a post-credits scene in “Superman” before headlining her own film. Corenswet took over the role of Clark Kent/Superman in 2023 and also stars alongside Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor across the DCU slate.

A 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD release of “Supergirl” is expected to follow Sept. 8.
