Anytime I finish a book with a new book boyfriend, you know it was a good read.

Daphne’s got a fiancé, and Miles has a girlfriend. The fiancé and the girlfriend just so happen to be best friends. They also just happen to confess their love for each other at the pre-wedding bachelor party. Suddenly finding themselves on their own, Daphne moves into the extra room in Miles’ apartment. A little lie jumpstarts their new… friendship.

This book was fluffy and fun, and I loved it. The banter was bantering. Daphne and Miles were constantly going back and forth with one another, and I only wish I could be as quick-witted as both of them. Their relationship was easy-going and immediately endearing.

Miles. My new book boyfriend. This scruffy, not-so-golden retriever man, who everyone loves, also captured my heart. I just want a hug from him because he has that protective aura that jumps off the page. Daphne feels lost and like she’s stuck in a life that’s not hers, and I understand her. She’s spent her recent adult life fitting into her ex-fiance’s life, molding it so that it feels natural. And now she doesn’t know who she is or where she should be. I get it, girl.

This is my second Emily Henry read, and so far, my favorite!
