NEW YORK — The Classical Theatre of Harlem welcomed the holiday season with “Harlem Holidays,” a one-night benefit concert featuring Tony Award winner Renée Elise Goldsberry on Monday, Dec. 15 at Ginny’s Supper Club at Red Rooster Harlem.

Goldsberry, who won a Tony for her performance in “Hamilton,” performed a selection of holiday favorites for a sold-out audience in the intimate supper club setting. The evening blended classic seasonal standards with theatrical storytelling, creating what organizers described as a moving and joyful performance.

The benefit concert serves as a fundraiser for The Classical Theatre of Harlem’s mission-driven programming, which focuses on nurturing emerging artists, expanding access to theater, and reimagining classical works through the lens of the African diaspora. The organization provides year-round programming aimed at developing the next generation of theatrical talent.

Guests enjoyed an open bar throughout the evening in the performance space located beneath Red Rooster Harlem, one of the neighborhood’s cultural landmarks. The event drew artists, supporters and community members in support of CTH’s work.

Ginny’s Supper Club has established itself as an intimate venue for music and performance in Harlem, hosting a variety of artists in its basement setting. The venue’s selection for the benefit underscored CTH’s commitment to creating community-centered cultural experiences within the neighborhood.

The Classical Theatre of Harlem thanked Goldsberry, Red Rooster Harlem and attendees for their support of the organization’s continued work in Harlem’s cultural landscape.
