On Apr 28, Marvel Studios and Wheaties took the internet by storm to reveal an ingenious once-in-a-lifetime limited collector’s item, a smaller rendition of the “Thunderbolts” Wheaties cereal box, just days ahead of the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) theatrical experience “Thunderbolts,” landing this Friday in cinemas worldwide.
The promotion officially goes on sale this Wednesday, April 30, at 11 a.m. EST, where you can get your very own copy. It should be noted that the highly sought-after item as of this moment is already sold out. It should be known that the item is a proper replication of giant theater standees, which have been spotted in public and placed throughout theaters nationwide, all attributed with various details and a plethora of Easter eggs disguised as dietary facts, along with a character adventure maze on the back.
The limited edition item is available for purchase if you click the highlighted link. It should be noted that only a limited number are being made, so make sure to hurry. Just as well, with this being a collector’s item, the box will not contain any cereal. In addition, you will have the option to purchase it with or without a protective acrylic case, so you can display this fascinating piece of Marvel marketing.
A synopsis for the film reads: In “Thunderbolts,” Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes— Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker. After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?
The cast of “Thunderbolts” will be led by Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and Lewis Pullman as “Bob.”
Written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin, and Joanna Calo, and directed by Jake Schreier, “Thunderbolts” is currently set to be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.
