New bandshell coming to Aquatore Park, set to open for 2024 Blaine Festival

1 min read

BLAINE— Construction is underway in Aquatore Park. A new bandshell facility is being built on the west side of the park.

The new facility will include an outdoor performance space for community events. The building will also include indoor space for storage and meetings. The bandshell will also include new permanent park bathrooms that will replace the previous bathroom building that was built in 1971.

This major project could not have been possible without the participation of the Blaine Festival Committee. The non-profit committee runs the annual Blaine Festival that takes place in the park each June. The Blaine Festival Committee has donated $1 million to the project to help make this a reality.

The construction of the new bandshell is underway and is expected to be completed in time for the Blaine Festival in June 2024.
