After a turbulent few days the Daily Planet site, dailyplanetdc.com, is now back to full capacity. For the past week our website’s editorial capabilities were crippled due to a coding error.
The only way it was possible for us to publish articles and all other related content is via the WordPress and Jetpack app, but that only allows for editorial content.
Our site is hosted by WordPress and the company’s technical assessors were apparently overwhelmed with support tickets
Due to the Daily Planet being a not-for-profit organization, we had to rely on the help of third party companies, like our host WordPress. While I was waiting I played around within the working mechanics of the site and discovered the problem to be a defunct plugin.
We appreciate the continued patience of our readers and can’t wait to get the Planet back up and functioning again.
