MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are investigating a fatal shooting that killed one man in the early morning hours of April 2 near 31st Avenue North and 4th Avenue North.
Fourth Precinct officers responded to the scene shortly after 1:18 a.m. following a 911 call reporting a single gunshot and a person calling for help. Officers found a man in the street suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound and immediately rendered aid.
The man was transported by ambulance to Hennepin Healthcare, where he later died. His identity has not been released.
Minneapolis Police Forensic Scientists processed the scene and collected evidence. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting. No arrests have been made as of publication. The case has been assigned number 26-082278.
