Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum revisit the season one finale of “Smallville” “Tempest” in the latest episode of their podcast “Talk Ville.”
The costars react to the tornado VFX, Whitney’s departure from the series, why they think “Smallville” never got its due and working with Remy Zero, the band behind the show’s theme song “Somebody Save Me.”
Michael also talks about his struggle with the Lionel fight scene and Tom joins in to talk about aggravated cliff hangers with Rosenbaum. The duo also discusses milking Warner Bros. Studios for perks after a successful season one.

In “Smallville’s” “Tempest,” Lex (Rosenbaum) and Lionel (John Glover) engage in a struggle over closing down the fertilizer plant. Reporter Roger Nixon (Tom O’Brien) steals Clark’s (Welling) spacecraft and learns his secret. Whitney (Eric Johnson) joins the Marines, and Clark takes Chloe (Allison Mack) to the prom, while a huge tornado approaches.
