The latest Black Adam trailer has officially dropped, meaning marketing is fully underway and it’s clear Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is bringing the intensity, and fans could be in for a treat when The Man in Black makes his long-awaited film debut.
In addition to the official trailer, a synopsis was released as well which reads “From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action-adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”). Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods— and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.”
Johnson stars alongside Sarah Shahi(“Sex/Life”), Aldis Hodge (“Underground,” “The Invisible Man”) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (“To All the Boys I Love Before,” “Charlie’s Angels”) as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell (“Trinkets,” “Euphoria”) as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan (“GoldenEye,” “Mamma Mia!”) as Doctor Fate, Marwan Kenzari (“The Old Guard,” “Aladdin”), and Uli Latukefu (“Young Rock”) has been cast in an unspecified role.
Jaume Collet-Serra (“Jungle Cruise”) is directing “Black Adam,” the most recent script of which was written by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. Adam Sztykiel wrote the previous draft.
“Black Adam” will hit theaters Oct 21, 2022.
