Marvel Studios has officially released a new trailer for “Loki.” The series is slated for release on June 11, 2021 on Disney+.

The latest trailer showed off new footage never seen by fans however, it also showcased a sense of direction. After witnessing the footage I noticed the series feels symbolic of late-night detective thrillers from the late ’90s weaved together with a hint of Marvel flair. The dialogue is exciting, and having Tom Hiddleston back as the titular role is perfect. Hiddleston has charisma like none other due to his Shakespearean aura that he brings to the character of Loki since he made his debut in Thor (2011) during phase one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The series feels fresh and outlandish, but reminiscent of video games such as “Bioshock,” and “Fallout” due to the element of mystery and exposition riddled with danger. From first impressions, the Loki series comes off as a new layer of the MCU thriving with potential due to the camera work being executed with precision. The cinematography gives off a moody impression conveying the emotional narrative of each character. The series is a show reminiscent of sci-fi stories that left the audience speechless.

The synopsis reads “Loki will see the God of Mischief step “out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer.”

All I can say is June 11 can’t get here any faster because “Loki” looks magnificent, and that’s not an understatement.

“Loki” is slated to release on Disney+ on June 11, 2021.
