The Oct. 8 celebration drew more than 500 guests, including business leaders and renowned artists, for an evening of live performances, auctions, and fine wine. Now in its fourth year, the event continues its mission of uniting the music industry around causes that use music to inspire and heal.
Unplugged & Uncorked was founded in 2021 by Rich Schaefer, president of Global Touring at AEG Presents; Glenn Nordlinger, founder of The Nordlinger Group; and Michael Dorf, founder of City Winery. Since its inception, the fundraiser has generated millions for organizations serving the New York community.
“Partnering with Rich, Glenn, and Michael has been a driving force in raising both funds and awareness for Musicians On Call,” said Pete Griffin, president and CEO of Musicians On Call. “Thanks to their commitment, thousands of patients, families, and caregivers across the country will continue to experience the joy, comfort, and connection that music brings.”

The evening featured a spirited performance from The Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser, whose energetic set had guests dancing through dinner. A highlight of the night came when former patient Molly Oldham shared her story of how music aided her recovery from brain cancer. She was joined by Ian Axel of the GRAMMY-winning duo A Great Big World, who performed an emotional rendition of the band’s hit “Say Something.”
Guests also participated in silent and live auctions, featuring exclusive wine tastings, signed guitars, and behind-the-scenes experiences at concerts and recording studios.

The event was supported by Grand Cru Sponsors Legends Global and Oak View Group, as well as Premier Cru Sponsors Citi, Maestro Cares Foundation, Wasserman Foundation, Gridiron Stadium Network, Hyundai Hope on Wheels, Amazon Music, Michael Falcon, and FemHealth Ventures.
According to the group, Musicians On Call has been bringing live music to healthcare environments for over 25 years through bedside, virtual, and streaming programs, reaching more than 1.2 million individuals nationwide. The organization’s volunteer musicians and guides continue to share music with patients and caregivers in hospitals and VA facilities across all 50 states.
