The Minnesota Twins announced that they have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Caleb Boushley from Triple-A St. Paul.

Boushley (BOZZ-lee) has gone 3-1 with a 4.00 ERA (27.0 IP, 12 ER), four walks, 30 strikeouts and a 1.15 WHIP in five starts for the Saints this season. The 30-year-old has appeared in one major league game, pitching the final 2.1 innings and earning the win for the Milwaukee Brewers over the Chicago Cubs on Sept. 29, 2023, after allowing one run on one hit (solo home run), with two walks and five strikeouts.

He was originally selected by San Diego in the 33rd round of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, signed a minor league contract with the Twins on January 25. He will be in uniform for today’s game in Chicago and will wear number 73.

To make room for Boushley on the 26-man roster, the Twins have optioned left-handed pitcher Kody Funderburk to the Saints. Funderburk has gone 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA (13.1 IP, 5 ER), five walks and 15 strikeouts in 11 relief outings for the Twins this season.
