Twins return Jhoan Duran from rehab assignment, reinstate from 15-day injured list

1 min read

The Minnesota Twins announced that they have returned right-handed pitcher Jhoan Duran from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day Injured List.

Duran, who has missed the club’s first 28 games with a right oblique strain, appeared in two games on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul last week, allowing two runs on four hits in 2.0 innings pitched, with no walks and five strikeouts.

To make room for Duran on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Matt Bowman for release or assignment. Bowman appeared in five games for the Twins, posting a 2.35 ERA (7.2 IP, 2 ER) with four walks and six strikeouts.
