1 min read

“Superman: Legacy” is officially flying onto theaters in July 2025, just as planned.

According to Co-chairman and Co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn, the new Superman flick, that’s set to officially kick off his new entertainment universe based on the DC Universe, will premiere July 11, 2025.

Gunn shared the official date on social media while also thanking his crew. The film will star David Corenswet in the title role of Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane. The movie is also set to star Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.

Of course 2025 is a ways away and a lot can happen in that time, but as of right now the new Superman movie is set.
