1 min read

SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative agreement as the historic deal is agreed upon on behalf of over 150,000 performers.

The agreement was reached Nov. 9, 2023 around midnight.

The historic agreement addresses the key issues at dispute including: compensation for streaming, healthcare, and the use of AI technologies, which was of particular concern to many performers.

The deal is a three-year contract, which now has to be approved by the SAG-AFTRA board. Once the review has taken place and the terms of the agreement gone over, the deal will be finalized on Nov. 10, 2023.

The agreement will see most minimums increase by 7%. That’s two percent greater than the increase received by the Writers Guild of America and the Directors Guild of America.

The contract is estimated to be valued at more than 1 billion dollars.

Full details of the agreement are currently expected to be released Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, after the national board vote.
