Two Eden Prairie parks to undergo renovation projects

EDEN PRAIRIE— Two Eden Prairie area parks will be starting some renovations this upcoming fall season. The work on the parks are slated to be completed for the 2024 summer season.

Pioneer Park tennis/pickleball court rehabilitation

A tennis/pickleball court rehabilitation project is set to begin early October 2023 at Pioneer Park. After the old courts are removed, new blacktop, fencing, gameplay netting and court surfacing will be installed for one tennis and four pickleball courts. The tennis/pickleball courts will be closed throughout the project with plans to reopen early summer 2024.

Riley Lake Park volleyball court renovation

A volleyball court renovation project is scheduled to begin early October 2023 at Riley Lake Park. Old timber borders will be replaced with concrete edging, grass surrounding the court will be regraded, and a new concrete plaza and walkway will be built to provide space for seating and shade structures. Access to this amenity will be closed for the remainder of the 2023 season.
