Daily Planet site continues experiencing technical issues

1 min read

The Daily Planet website, dailyplanetdc.com, has been experiencing some technical issues that have rendered our publication abilities null and void.

The only way for us to publish articles and all other related content is via the WordPress and Jetpack app, but that only allows for editorial content.

Our site is hosted by WordPress and the company’s technical assessors are overwhelmed with tickets, so there’s no telling when the publishing functions will be up and running.

Due to the Daily Planet being a not-for-profit organization, we have to rely on the help of third party companies, like our host WordPress.

We appreciate the patience of our readers and can’t wait to get the Planet fully functioning again. It’s just another day at the office, even if we’re crippled by the throes of a Brainiac-like problem.

It’s a serious bummer, to be perfectly honest. For the past few weeks I’ve been ill and had to take a small break from Editor-in-Chief duties. I wanted to rejuvenate the Daily Planet on Lois Lane’s comic book birthday, Aug. 17, but the technical issues inhibited that. However, our social accounts were reactivated successfully.

Watch the skies, because our globe will rotate once again!
