1 min read

The Vikings on Sunday announced the signing of veteran linebacker Tanner Vallejo after a workout at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center.

In order to make room for Vallejo on the roster, the Vikings waived linebacker William Kwenkeu with an injury designation.

Vallejo brings 82 games of experience (eight starts) to the Vikings. He was selected out of Boise State by Buffalo in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He has totaled 114 tackles, six tackles for loss, six quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, two passes defensed and three forced fumbles.

After appearing in 15 games as a rookie, Vallejo was waived ahead of the 2018 season and claimed by Cleveland. He played 13 games for the Browns and made one start that season.

Vallejo spent the 2019 offseason with Arizona after he was claimed off waivers, but the Cardinals waived him during roster cuts.
