NATO leaders, President Zelensky meet for first NATO-Ukraine Council

NATO heads of state and government are meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday (12 July 2023) for the inaugural session of the NATO-Ukraine Council, a new forum for crisis consultations and decision-making.

“We stand with you in your courageous struggle for freedom and sovereignty,” NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said welcoming President Zelensky, urging NATO Allies to keep up and further expand their support to help Ukraine liberate its land and deter future aggression.
