The tempo of life

1 min read

Love is so fragile yet euphoric
Hearts are so tender yet soft as cotton
Feelings are full of emotion yet harbor despair
Passion is vital to lust yet fear shrouds all
Isolation is penance for comfort but perceived as a weakness
Human souls bury attachment yet leave room for warmth
Alas the frozen tundra of malice
Thaws under the warmth of hope
Storms begin to fade
Rivers of tears flooding the porcelain skin
Can be found drying up from the radiant gleam of happiness
The world stops and time begins to fade
Trees begin to harmonize in an angelic tone
Mirrors once harboring
Shattered and broken pieces
Once used for stinging and exposing sins of our nature
Are now being sewn back into the frame of growth
Hearts once frail and weak
Begin to dance to the tempo of life
Emotions take center stage
Preaching the gospel of love
