The Milwaukee Bucks boycotted their NBA playoff series game today.
The boycott was in response to Jacob Blake, who was shot multiple times by police Sunday afternoon at close range as he tried to enter an SUV, which held his three, five and eight-year old sons.
The 29-year-old Black man was undergoing surgery Tuesday afternoon.
Bucks players opted not to leave their locker room for their Game 5 matchup against the Orlando Magic in response to the Kenosha, Wisconsin police shooting of Blake.
The NBA announced that all of Wednesday’s playoff games would be postponed as a result of Milwaukee’s decision.
The NBA and the NBPA today announced that in light of the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to not take the floor today for Game 5 against the Orlando Magic, today’s three games – MIL-ORL, HOU-OKC and LAL-POR have been postponed. Game 5 of each series will be rescheduled.
